Time to Re-think Independence

Today is the day that Americans celebrate our freedom and independence.  I think it’s time to reflect on our freedoms.  So many things have become illegal.  One school has a law against the students hugging or holding hands.  Another one where you can’t bring sack lunches, but have to eat the food in the cafeteria.  The new law about ObamaCare is that it is a tax.  Just stop and think about everything being taxed.  Your home, car, food you eat, water, air.  I don’t care if you own your home, you still have to pay taxes on it.  In Mississippi, the amount of tax on your vehicle is based on how new it is. Here in Tennessee, you have to go thru inspection to make sure you are not  polluting the air.  It doesn’t matter if you are putting out clean air. If the check engine light is on, you fail.  Sales tax on the food and water.  Now we have a new tax for health care.  One thing I want you to think about, how will the government keep up with who has insurance and who doesn’t?  The IRS has been given the job of collecting the taxes, but how are they going to make sure?  I will tell you how.  The RDIF chip. Will that be the sign of the anti-christ?  The way things are going, all the ancient prophecies are coming true, including the Bible.  The rise of natural disasters, nation against nation, the ocean was turning black because of the BP oil spill, the ocean is radioactive because of the Japan thing. If people take pictures of capitol building, stock up on food and water, you might be on a terrorist. I’m not kidding.  They do have a list.  Take a look at your local news channel.  We are not hearing about the things that matter. We are hearing about what Celebrities are doing. Stupid things.  I think it’s just a way to distract us from what’s going on in the real world.  Do you even know how many countries we have bases in?  We have surrounded Iran.  Pay attention to whats going on.  The Chinese and the Russians have said no, this will not go on.  And yet we are still there.  The people of Washington DC and surrounding states are without electricity.  This is how it will be for all of us if you have an EMP or solar flare strong enough.  Where are the government helping out?  We as a country have been paying for all the F.E.M.A. stuff and what have we got to show for it?  Nothing.  F.E.M.A. stand for federal emergency management agency.  It seems like this is an emergency to me.  If the areas continue to have no electricity, you will see things get dicey.  Just think.  It’s summer time with temps in the triple digits, you can’t buy food or water.  You can’t turn on the AC.   Being in dispatch for so long, I know what the heat does to people. It makes them mean.  Things that wouldn’t ordinarily bother you, suddenly do. A lot.  Last year’s winter and this  spring have been the hottest on record. If it continues, the weather will devastate the food crops.  They are already talking about the heat and the corn crops. Prepare yourself for what is coming.

I'm a fiftish woman that has opinions and passions about nearly everything under the sun. I love a good debate, not name calling. I believe in the Constitution , the Bill of Rights and God. I believe the government which governs the least is the best government of all. I believe in the rights of the people. I dispatched fire trucks, the Po-Po and ambulances for a long time so I have a wicked sense of dark humor and speak fluent sarcasm. I think out loud a lot times. I am offensive. But I'm offensive of everybody. Socially unacceptable, plain spoken and unashamed. If you don't want to be offend, please don't read and if you do, please consider that I'm not politically correct in any sense of the word.

  1. I agree that some of the rules that you mentioned at the top of your article, like a ban on hand-holding and mandatory cafeteria lunches certainly seem draconian (particularly the former), but making kids have a lunch cooked for them at the school can be a way of guaranteeing the fulfilment of certain dietary requirements, which may not be fulfilled if every kid has the right to bring in peanut butter sandwiches with a Coca-Cola on the side.

As for “Obama Care” being a sure sign of the apocalypse, I rather like to think that a Government deciding to help out the poor and needy is humane, indeed, almost Christian (if that’s a way to define anything). You should not be denied access to basic medical provision because you are unemployed or homeless. Heck, if Jesus can provide free medical care, then the United States Government certainly can.

Now, the RFID chip will not be used to track whether people have health insurance. There’s no way it would work, even if the Government was hell-bent on tagging every citizen. No, instead it will most probably be a database, where companies provide details of who has medical insurance with them (something they already do), and that can be checked against the Electoral Roll (all digitised, so you don’t have to worry about people spending years going through filing cabinets of records) to see who has it, and who hasn’t. Quite simple, really.
It’s with your claims about impending doom that I must really take offence, however. Assuming that you are only accepting the Christian Old Testament and New Testament, and not the chapters of the Torah that were discarded by the Romans when choosing which books best suited their needs for religious conformity, then we are looking at books that were written, for the most part, in the last two thousand years, written and re-written as they were translated into different languages and absorbed by different empires (take a bow, King James). To suggest that “nation against nation” is only now a sign of impending doom is to assume that no nation ever fought another nation before The Bible was written, that the Egyptians, Grecians and Persians never hurt anybody. It insults history. Are there more wars now? No, not really. If there were it can be attributed to the simple fact that there are more people, although it is debatable if there are more nations now than there were tribes back then. The BP oil spill was the fault of bad plumbing, a lack of maintenance, and an explained explosion on an oil rig. It was not an act of God. Nowhere in Revelations does it claim that “I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth, who over a period of time deceiveth men into forgetting to check on the state of the pipe at the bottom of the ocean”. Didn’t happen.

America has not surrounded Iran. America is too scared to invade Iran, as Iran is currently too politically volatile and in control of uranium. It is also MASSIVE, with a large, well-trained army. We’re not talking about hill-people in Afghanistan here (and that turned out so well). Any war that will come with Iran will be fought with tactical strikes and air drones and will be as a reaction to Iranian aggression, or a trigger-happy finger belonging to a Republican President looking to seek military glory by subjecting Islam to defeat in a 21st Century Crusade.

The Federal Government and FEMA will be unable to do anything if there is a strong enough solar flare or if an EMP is released, so don’t blame them. Electricity suppliers across the world will be affected, and we’ll all have to live without our A/C (not that many other countries have it on an American scale).

So, heat and corn crops. Interesting one this. Of course the simplest solution would be to breed more heat and drought resistant corn. No one was ever hurt by a little Genetic Modification. Throughout human history animals and plants have been bred to make the most out of their characteristics, it’s nothing new. We’re not talking about some crazy whackjob scientists infecting everyone with their laboratory-bred “devil-food”, just breeding together types of corn that are more resistant to the heat. It’s not even science, it’s basic agricultural practice. Protest for that, if you want to secure your nation’s food future, not against FEMA.

I fully accept that you have a right to your own opinion, and, being British, I believe in Freedom of Speech as one of the basic tenets of civilised society. Part of that freedom, however, must come reasoned debate, right-of-reply, and a willingness to listen to other people’s points-of-view, even, nay, especially, if you don’t agree with it. If everyone agreed with each other we’d all be living in caves, knowing that we were safe and that deer tastes good when roasted on a stick. In that spirit, I also accept that you may not want to approve this comment in moderation, but I hope that you do, so a reasonable response to some of the somewhat outlandish claims you have listed above may be visible to anyone visiting this page.

    Yours sincerely,
    Chris Riley

Chris, I agree with you about Freedom Of Speech. As for the school lunch thing, a peanut butter sandwich is good for you. It’s full of protein and if you like the “school lunch” you really need to investigate what and how it is cook. If the school cafeteria was a restaurant it would be closed down because of the health hazards.
As for the ObamaCare. It’s NOT FREE! the middle class with be taxed to death. The rich already pays less in taxes than regular people, and this will only make the middle-class poorer. As for Jesus, he was the only one who could do miracles. The U.S. Government doesn’t do miracles. Or provide Free anything. F.E.M.A has generators, food, water and the manpower to clear the downed trees and remove debris so that the wires can go up. F.EM.A is not doing any of that. No where did I say that the oil spill was an act of God. I was referring to a HOPI Indian prophecies. Not all prophecies come from the bible. You need to check your facts about the U.S. surrounding Iran, just google it. Map of U.S. bases and wars in the middle east. I didn’t say anything about genetic foods. I said the heat and the corn and other food crops. If there is nothing wrong with a little genetic modification, try it on one of your unborn child. See how you like it then.
