Today is a beautiful day. Today was just made for getting out and shopping. I went to the library and got a couple of new books. Then, I was going to go grocery shopping, but I had to park in front of Cato’s and they had some of the cutest outfits for spring. I felt compelled to buy me something. I got a beautiful bright blue sleeveless shirt. It has the darts down the front and if anyone doesn’t want to see my fat arms they can just look away. I think I look cute in it and that’s all that matters. Of course, you have to get accessories. Got a necklace and earrings to go with it. After I finished there, I went grocery shopping. Did my menu before I went so I knew what I needed and don’t have to wonder what to fix for dinner. I got brownie mix so I could add pecans and dark chocolate M&M’s in them. Then I’m going to make a banana cake. The last banana cake I had was about 30 years. My first mother-in-law made the best banana cake. I have never seen one like it since. I only hope that mine turns out as good as hers.
Last night I had an old favorite that I haven’t had in years. A fried egg sandwich with bacon on it. The egg cooked just right so the egg yolk soaked into the toast without being to much. Momma and Teresa come over yesterday and we ordered pizza. Do you happen to notice that alot of my blogs have to do with food? I’m got another week on steroids.
I talked to my Granddaughter last night. We had a ball as usual. She was telling me that she has decided to go to the 8 grade formal with a friend instead of with a date. I told her that sounded great. She is in the marching band at school. She said she was thinking about taking Drama class next year. I told her that her Dad would have loved that. He told me just about his whole childhood that he wanted to be famous. She said she wanted that too. I told her to go for those dreams of hers. She could turn that imagination and drama into the character she would play. I told her I could see her as a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame or have her name in lights on Broadway. I hope her dreams come true.
